Validation and protection of cultural heritage in conflict zones in Mali
Dogon Country is an immense symbol of cultural heritage where each action takes on ritual value. Each village is a unique expression of the totality of Dogon culture, one of the reasons the area has resisted modernization that is, at times, exploitative. Despite a firm desire to keep this culture, one wonders how long it will hold up in the face of a hyper-globalized world.
Yagana Culture proposes, through the use of digital technologies, to protect, enhance and preserve traditional knowledge and practices which are in the process of disappearing. These include dances, songs, stories, tales and art.
The estimated budget for this project is 40,000 euros.
